Crisis Respite Program
Temporary campus housing provides parents, caregivers and youth time apart during a crisis.
Responding to current needs, Vanderheyden has established Crisis/Respite Program on its Wynantskill, New York campus. The program, for stays up to 90 days, is designed to serve persons ages 12 to 21 who are in need of emergency care and have emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental challenges. Diagnostic services also can be provided on site.Staffed by a professional team that includes a masters-level clinician, this round-the-clock unit is there for adolescents in situations of temporary homelessness, neglect, in need of out-of home placement, or other concerns.
